About Torve Ventures
Torve Ventures is a privately held merchant bank which since 1979 has been providing advisory services and investment capital to a variety of businesses. Small and medium-sized enterprises, including startups, have been the base of Torve’s business. Torve has extensive experience as an investor and strategic advisor in many different industries including technology, energy, manufacturing, hospitality and finance.
Torve has been involved in making investment choices for decades, making investments in partnership with other investors, typically maintaining an operational or board level role. Sustainability from both a social and economic point of view is a key focus in all we do. Torve’s principal is also actively engaged is a variety of not for profit organizations.
Mandate
Torve’s current mandate is to invest in seed round startups as well as profitable small and medium size businesses. Torve seeks relationships which generate free cash flow and which can benefit from the advisory services and experience offered by Torve. Best of class management, capable of delivering solid operating results, and for startups, with a clear path to profitability are important characteristics of portfolio businesses. Torve is an equity investor, not a lender. Current investment parameters include enterprise values from $100,000 to $3 million. Torve will not consider turnaround situations.
